Teacher Spotlight

Spotlight: Mrs. McKee By Leland Thomas

Hobbies: Mrs. McKee loves to read to herself and to her toddler Noah. She also likes to spend time with her family, like traveling the world to see new places and just to have a great time, or going to new restaurants to try their new meals and see which are their favorites.

Favorite Book: The Giver. The Giver is about a main character Jonas receives the memories of the past, good and bad, from the current Receiver, a wise old man who tells Jonas to call him the Giver. The Giver transmits memories by placing his hands on Jonas's bare back. The first memory he receives is of an exhilarating sled ride which will change his life forever.

What does Mrs. McKee do in her spare time: Mrs. McKee makes candles from scratch for her own company and has made over 60 candles.
Dream: For Noah to have a great life with everything he will need when he grows up. He will be successful in what he loves to do, and even to teach Mrs. McKee things that she doesn’t know (but that will be hard, because she knows a lot).

Does Mrs. McKee like her job: YES, she wouldn’t change her job, and keep selling candles for her company.

If she got a surprising gift of $1,000, what would she do with it: She would go to 6 Flags with her husband, because when she was little, she had a blast at 6 Flags. She ate 10 times (none of them were healthy), she rode the rides that she wanted to, and had a great time with her friends.
